a. Personal Services

1. Individual Guidance

- finding out students’ needs individual interest.
- knowing the reading ability of the students
- inquiring about hobbies and special interest
- stimulating interest through short items in the school newspapers
- allowing students to browse among all the media if they want to
- encouraging the use of Audio-Visual materials.

2. Service to Groups

- arranging and scheduling time to permit entire classes to browse.
- Assembling materials for classes to use when they come to the library to a specific assignment

3. Individual Reference Service

- familiarizing students with reference material and how to use them.
- encouraging students to come to the library to find the answer to any question they may have.
- showing students how to find information if they cannot find it themselves.
- learning about and recommending community resources that would be used to supplement the school resources; other libraries (public state, college and universities).
Community agencies, people with special skills and interest, business, public utilities, government agencies, and the like.
