Borrowing/Returning of Library Materials

General Rules:

All library users must follow the following rules on Circulation of Library Materials: · Present the School ID when entering the library. · General References, Periodicals, Newspapers, Pamphlets, Clippings, Story Books, and CDs/DVDs are to be used only in the library and not to be lent for home use. However, when the need arises, Administration, Faculty and Staff may borrow the above mentioned library materials for instructional purposes only and be returned within a day. The borrower must personally fill up first the Log Book to make sure that the library materials are being checked out. · Only Fiction, Filipiniana Books and General Collection may be borrowed by the library users. · Textbooks/Teacher’s Manuals are to be borrowed only by the Administration, Faculty and Staff. · Any library users who borrowed any library materials shall be held responsible in any library materials being charged to him/her.

3.a Administration, Faculty and Staff

3.a.1 Any employed administration, faculty and staff may borrow books in the library.

3.a.2 He/She must be registered in the Library Automation System.

3.a.3 For the Administration, to check out books, please bring the materials to the library’s circulation desk. Only ten (10) titles are allowed to be borrowed and be returned every semester. No one is allowed to borrow library materials in behalf of other person unless he/she has a letter of permission from the borrower.

3.a.4 For the Faculty and Staff, they are allowed to borrow five (5) Reference Books for a period of thirty (30) days and may be renewed twice if not in demand, and fifteen (15) Textbooks/Manuals for every school year.

3.a.4 When returning/renewing books, the Administration, Faculty and Staff may personally return the books or by his/her representative to the circulation desk together with the note which stated the title of the book/s to be returned and bears a signature of the above mentioned person involved.

3.a.5 All borrowed library materials must be returned on or before signing of clearance.

3.b. Pupils/Students

3.b.1 Any pupils/students from Grade 3 to 4th year who are officially enrolled are allowed to borrow at least three (3) books for a period of three (3) days.

3.b.2 The borrowed books may be renewed twice if not overdue.

3.b.3 When returning/renewing book/s, the pupils/students should return the book/s personally to the circulation desk.

3.b.4 For Preschool, Grade 1 and Grade 2 Pupils, they are not allowed to borrow any library materials for home use to avoid losses. However, they can still enjoy the utilization of library materials inside the library only.
