Fine and Other Penalties

Library users who will not follow the rules and regulations set forth in these library policies and guidelines shall be meted with the following penalties:

1. For overdue books, a fine of one peso (P1.00) per day (including Saturdays, Sundays and holidays) shall be imposed.

The following penalties are to be imposed to delinquent borrowers:

First Offense – A Fine of Php100.00 and suspension of the privilege to borrow for three (3) days.

Second Offense – A Fine of Php300.00 and suspension of the privilege to borrow for one (1) week.

Third Offense – A Fine P500.00 and suspension of the privilege to borrow for an indefinite period of times as determined by the librarian.

2. Fines are to be paid at the circulation desk.

3. Failure to return the borrowed materials as well as the settlement of the computed fine could lead to a stiffer penalty.

4. When a borrowed book or library material is lost. The borrower must report immediately to the librarian, otherwise if the books become overdue fines incurred until the day loss is reported, in addition to the cost of the lost book or library material.

5. Any pupil/student who fails or refuses to observe any of the library regulations well be referred to the office of the Principal/Prefect of Discipline for disciplinary action. ncipal/Prefect of Discipline for disciplinary action.
