On Borrowing Books

For Students: Anyone who wants to borrow library materials must be registered at the library automation system. General reference books, pamphlets, periodical materials, clippings, CD, books in sets and rare collections cannot be brought out of the library. A student may borrow a maximum of five (5) books from the library for one (1) week which, may be renewed once if not in demand. A fine of two pesos (P2.00) per day for each book will be imposed upon failure to return borrowed library materials on time. Weekends and other working holidays are included. Two weeks before the final examinations, the librarian will post an announcement for last day of returning library materials borrowed. A fine will be imposed to penalize violators. Students may borrow reserved materials for one hour which should be used within the library premises only. However, the materials could be brought inside the library if they are borrowed during the last period in the evening and should be returned at 7:30 in the morning the following day. A fine of P2.00 per hour will be imposed to a student-borrower who fails to return the materials within the specified time. Students are held responsible for all books charged on their account name. In case of loss, page mutilation or any other form of damage in the borrowed library materials, the necessary charges will be imposed, including but not limited to the total replacement of the damaged material. Books are to be used properly. Writing on them or using them as writing board must be avoided. Mutilation of any library materials is strictly prohibited. Courtesy must be observed in the library especially when borrowing and returning books or other library materials. The general rules of discipline of the school are to be observed within the library premises. Silence should be maintained in the library at all times. For Faculty: a. Fulltime faculty is allowed to borrow a maximum of 10 books regardless of his/her loads every semester. b. Part time faculty is allowed to borrow a maximum of 3 books only.
